In 2025, Callan & Co Solicitors joined the Oracle Law group. While our team and commitment to personal service remain the same, we’re now part of a wider network of legal professionals. Meet Our Team
Jenna McLaughlan
Director – Property & Conveyancing
Jenna is a Director of Callan & Co. She qualified as a solicitor in 2019 after completing her LLB Honours Degree and Masters at Strathclyde University.
Jenna specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing as well as private client work. She can assist with purchases, sales, transfers, remortgages, wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning.
Fully STEP-qualified, Jenna also teaches conveyancing on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at Strathclyde University. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Margaret Callan
Private Client Solicitor
Margaret qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and initially practised in family law and reparation.
Since 2005, she has specialised in private client work, advising on succession planning, wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration.
Margaret is also a native Gaelic speaker and a recipient of the Royal National Mod’s gold medal for traditional singing, as well as the Donald Meek prize for Gaelic literature.
Eleanor Rae
Legal Administrator
Eleanor is probably our oldest team member, having been “dragged kicking and screaming” out of retirement a few years ago – and we’re delighted she’s still with us!
She was a conveyancing paralegal for many years and has worked across both the east and west of Scotland. Now, she assists our solicitors with private client and conveyancing matters.
An ardent football fan, Eleanor also enjoys spending time with family and friends – especially her grandchildren.
Claire Bonar
Cashier & Legal Administrator
Claire is our cashier and legal administrator. She joined Callan & Company in 1996 and has been part of the team for over 25 years.
Over the years, Claire has gained extensive experience in all aspects of running the office. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and spending time with her family and friends.
